1.express a difference表达差异
express动词，意为“表达,表示”，通常不接双宾语。他对她表示了他的歉意。
[误]He expresses her his thanks.[正]He expresses his thanks to her.
express可接反身代词作宾语，表达自己的意思、思想、感情等。
e.g.:Have I expressed myself clearly?
He is still unable to express himself in English.
difference此处为可数名词，意为“差别;不同之处”，常用结构为“the difference(s) between ...and ...(.......和......之间的差别)”。
e.g.:There are some differences between Lucy and Lily.Can you tell me the differences between them?
【拓展】difference的形容词形式为different,意为“不同的”，常用短语为be diffferent from..意为“与….…不同”。

e.g.:As it was late,I went at once.
【辨析】as, because与since
as意为“由于，鉴于”，主句与从句并重，从句说明原因，主句说明结果;because意为“因为”，语气最强，回答由why提出来的问题，从句可放在主句前，也可放在主句后;since意为“既然”，侧重主句，从句表示显然的或已知的理由。
e.g.As you don't feel well,youhad better stay at home.—Why were you late for schoo1?
