1.Which do you prefer to write,poems or stories?prefer为动词.意为“更喜欢宁愿”.相当于like...better。一般不用于进行时态。常见用法如下:
(1)prefer sth.表示“更喜欢某物”。
(2)prefer to do sth.表示“宁愿做某事”。
(3)prefer(doingA to(doingB表示“比起r做B来更喜欢t做A”.其中to为介词。
aprefer to do A rather than doB表示“宁愿做A而不愿做B”。

2.We learned to write stories and poems thisweek.
在下列动词后往往加不定式作宾
语:want,hope.wish,like.begin.start.try.agree.,learn.promise,refuse.decide等。

3.We read many different kinds of poems.many different kinds of意为“许多不同种类的……”。
【拓展】a kind of意为“一种……”.all kinds of意为“各种各样的”。

4.At the beginning l was afraid to try writing apoem.
at the beginning意为“开始时.起初”,at也可以换成in.后接of短语时.只能用at the beginning。
be afraid to do sth.意为“害怕做某事”。

5.But it was too hard to write that poem!
本句中it作形式主语.真正的主语是动词不定式短语towrite that poem。在英语中动词不定式作主语时.常用t作形式主语.而将动词不定式放于句末。
